Making Stained Glass Door Panel

Demonstrated in this video are some of the techniques used in stained glass work.

These include cutting and shaping glass, setting in lead came, soldering, cementing, dusting with chalk powder to remove unwanted cement and final polishing.
The finished work makes up a partition screen in a victorian house. In total this work took four hundred hours to make and is made up of over 800 individual glass pieces including many fused pattern sections.
The work is based on the 30’s avant garde period with a hint of Aztec art culture.
